Astute Media Vision develops Bal Hanuman 4: Attack of the Universe

Bal Hanuman- Return of the Demon, Astute Media Vision has developed the 4th part in the Bal Hanuman feature franchise- Bal Hanuman 4: Attack of the Universe. The studio team of 30 artists took around 9 months to complete this theatrical feature which is expected to release next month. The film is approximately 72 minutes long and is targeted at 4-16 yrs age group.

Talking to AnimationXpress.com Pankaj Sharma, Director of Bal Hanuman 4 & Owner of Astute Media Vision shares, “Film is full of fun, conspiracy, action, sporty moments and of course with a strong message from Bal Hanuman. It is related to the previous feature but can be understood independently on its own. The Kabaddi match between monkeys and crocodiles is the high point of this film.”

In Bal Hanuman 4, Monkey Head Chhote Maharaj convinces his Lieutenants Rocket and Locket to play a Kabbadi match with crocodiles headed by Gutter and Shutter in order to end hostility and make peace in the area. But certainly something dangerously weird is cooking in the crocodile’s group as they are conspiring to make Dreaded Danavraj alive with the help of their new allies, the Aliens, who attacks the Earth in order to destroy plantation and kill the animals to convert them into fuel to fulfill the energy demand of their planet. Bal Hanuman comes to the rescue. Will Bal Hanuman be able to unite Monkeys and Crocodiles to save earth from the attack of aliens and Hi-Tech Danavraj with New Powers?

Pankaj is in talks with various distributors for the film. “The first two releases of Bal Ganesha was done by PVR, Chuttanki was done by Mukta ArtDelhi and this one is in Mumbai so we are not sure, as it is very difficult to release an animation film in India”.

About the challenges faced, Pankaj asserts, “Bal Hanuman 4 is the fourth part so when people like the first part, second is made, when they like the second, third is made and so on. The challenging part is to maintain the transition, and also to keep the entity of the story intact when you are making a mythological kind of a film. Also, the kind of concept which I design and wrote was a challenging task”.

Bal Hanuman 4 is developed as normal 2D film unlike its predecessor which was a stereoscopic 3D. Astute Media Vision’s next project will be stereoscopic 3D animated film. Apple will become the world's first trillion-dollar company

LONDON: Apple will become the world's first trillion-dollar company when its shares top $1,000 each, Wall Street analysts have predicted.

The technology giant's shares were worth $633.38 last week as its stock price rose above Google's for the first time, the Daily Mail reported Friday.

Brian White, of Topeka Capital Markets, then claimed Apple's sky-high share price will hit four figures within 12 months - making the company worth $1 trillion.

He said in his report: "Apple fever is spreading like a wildfire around the world."

Gene Munster, of Piper Jaffray, followed that up by claiming Apple stock will hit $1,000 - but by 2014.

The company, based in Cupertino, California, is already the most valuable company in the world currently valued at $590.82 billion, according to the newspaper.

Just a year ago the shares were changing hands at $341. In January, Apple revealed it had more than doubled its profits to $13.06 billion, compared with $6 billion for the same quarter in 2010.

Tim Cook, Apple's chief executive who took over from the late co-founder Steve Jobs, said: "We could have sold more if we'd had more supply. We could not be happier."

Apple's growth is expected to be driven by sales in China, where January's launch of the iPhone 4S triggered a near riot in Beijing, the Mail said.

Earlier this year Morgan Stanley analyst Katy Huberty predicted Apple could sell 40 million iPhones in China this year. Apple is also expected to move into the TV market after the launch of its set-top box Apple TV.

Delhi CG Animation Awards (DCGAA) slated for 30th April 2012; Call for Entries

Delhi CG Animation Awards (DCGAA) is slated to happen on 30th April, 2012 at Sirifort Auditorium, New Delhi. Entries from around the globe are accepted for all the 16 categories which are divided into student and professional branches. The deadline for the entry submission is on 25th April’12. Students from Delhi/NCR could participate in the closed category reserved for Delhi students submitting 3D short films, VFX short films, 2D-Stop Motion short films and Live Action short films.

Student films other than the ones submitted in closed category can also be submitted in the open category which is open to students from all over the globe in all four genres. Similarly, for Professionals, films can be submitted in all four genres and professional entries from Delhi will be recognized separately in each of the four genres. Even student films from Delhi which did not register in the closed category can register in the open category.

Talking to AnimationXpress.com Mayank Choudhary from DCGAA shared, “The Award was born 7 years back as an Internal Student Development effort at MAAC Preet Vihar by the name of “3D-VFX War”. In seven years the Animation Industry of Delhi grew massively. And when, it was seen that the students across Delhi/NCR are not being recognized on a platform worthy of their talent and lacked the opportunity within the region. That was the moment it was decided to rechristen ‘3D-VFX War’ to ‘The Delhi CG Animation Awards’”.

“The founder of DCGAA is Deepak Choudhary. He is an educationist in the animation education circuit of Delhi/NCR. He has been leading the education hubs for CG film making education in Delhi since a decade. Delhi CG Animation Awards is one of his initiatives to take the Animated Film making fraternity ahead”, Mayank added.

MAAC South ext, Rajouri Garden, Preet Vihar and Faridabad centres are the premier supporter of the event. Online media supporters of DCGAA include Animation Xpress, CG Tantra and Snapbid.

According to Mayank, the team of DCGAA aims to grow the awards into a CG and Animated Film Making Festival in the future.
